Materials & Methods
Twenty-two cleft lip and palate patients (14 unilateral, 8 bilateral) ranging in age from 7 to 13 years were included in the study. All patients underwent primary lip and palate repair in infancy or early childhood and had anteroposterior maxillary hypoplasia resulting in a concave profile with Class III malocclusion and negative overjet (Figs. 1, 2). Cephalometric measurements, dental relationship, and soft tissue analysis confirmed anteroposterior maxillary hypoplasia (Table 1).
