Indications for the application of intraoral distraction devices include:
- Hemifacial microsomia (with airway obstruction)
- Hemifacial microsomia (with facial asymmetries)
- Pierre-Robin Syndrome
- Treacher-Collins Syndrome
- Crouzon Syndrome
- Extreme facial asymmetries or mandibular shortening due to avascular necrosis or trauma
- Mandibular retrognathia
