Indications

Indications for the hybrid (tooth/bone-borne) ROD-2 intraoral distraction appliance include:

• Class I Division 1 or 2 malocclusions

• Skeletal mandibular deficiency

• Lower incisor proclination of less than 100° (relative to mandibular plane)

• Minimal or no lower incisor crowding

• Distraction posterior to the last molar

• Skeletal openbite (bidirectional distractor utilized)
