Indications
Indications for the ROD-1 tooth-borne intraoral distraction appliance include:
Class I or Class II malocclusions
Skeletal mandibular deficiency
Lower incisor flaring of greater than 110° (relative to mandibular plane)
Lower incisor crowding greater than 8 mm
Interdental distraction to create arch length followed by orthodontically moving teeth through regenerate bone
