Incision & Exposure

• Infiltrate the buccal mucosa from the second premolar to as far back as the neck of the condyle and to the base of the coronoid process, if present, with anesthetic solution containing epinephrine.

• Obtain subperiosteal exposure of the buccal aspect of the ascending ramus and proximal mandibular corpus segment.
