Case Report

At surgery, an osteotomy of the distal mandibular segment was performed, thereby creating a bone (transport) disk for gradual transport through the defect. The proximal and distal segments were stabilized by a bone plate previously bent to recreate the normal contour of the mandible. The DynaForm™ device was attached to the distal and transport segments followed by 2 mm of acute distraction.
