Introduction
Vertical bone defects of the partial or totally atrophic alveolar ridge have a negative impact on function and aesthetics. These conditions require a well thought out treatment approach. When using surgical methods, donor site morbidity and postoperative bone graft resorption, as well as soft tissue management must be considered. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce a new miniaturized intraoral distraction device and technique developed for vertical distraction of the alveolar ridge.
