2 There are several intraoral bone-borne devices, some of which were presented at the First International Congress on Cranial and Facial Bone Distraction Processes in June 1997. A few examples include: the Bell-Guerrero device (Leibinger, USA), the MD-DOS device (Normed, Germany), the Vasquez-Diner device(Leibinger, France), the Wangerin device (Medicon, Germany), and the ROD device (Oral Osteodistraction, USA) Dr. Cope 10/5/1997

5 Yes. Dr. Guerreo & Staff and myself and Dr. Lander, using a device of my own design. Dr. Andrade 10/17/1997
6 Our group in Brazil has been working on mandibular augmentation using internal devices with good results. Some modifications on distraction proctocols must be done. The bone appliance must be very delicated and the age of the patients are an important factor, but the results were very gratifying. Dr. Soares 12/7/1997
